About Olga Ramos

O RamosOlga Ramos is that rare mixture of a highly qualified, skilled and competent technical IT professional, motivator as well as someone who has a deep understanding of business processes, with specific expertise in business change as well as project planning and execution.

Her first and second degrees both centred around Information Management and Computer Science, followed by a Masters in Business in Information Technology Management.

Add to all that her eighteen years of corporate experience and you have a professional individual who offers a unique combination of business and technical skills.

Most of Olga’s career has been spent in a big company corporate environment, from programming to joining PeopleSoft’s team of applications specialists.

During that time, she completed several projects for two of Australia’s major energy providers, both as a senior business analyst and IT security analyst. She majored on analysing both companies’ business issues for the purpose of identifying solutions to improve not only efficiency and cost effectiveness but also to ensure that they achieved regulatory compliance.

For the last two years, Olga has been a director of Digital Presence Solutions Pty Ltd which is an online marketing agency that specialises in all aspects of digital marketing.

She is solely responsible for managing external relationships for the company with a wide variety of organisations such as the Australian Government Regulatory Bodies, Commercial law firms, Accounting firms, and Vendors.

Olga’s own family was in business which has given her a unique insight and appreciation of small business. Therefore, as well as having enjoyed a very successful big company career, she retains an understanding of the Small and Medium business environment and all the issues which such businesses face.

Her current employer is a family business and she now takes every opportunity to assist any SME that comes to her for help in driving its business forward.

With the help of her network of legal and financial consultants, she now helps businesses of all sizes to structure their business professionally, having already completed the process for companies such as Digital Presence Solutions.

What drives her is her passion for business and an empathy and understanding of the small business environment, to the extent that nowadays she spends much of the time not only counselling and teaching prospective entrepreneurs but is gaining a reputation as a motivator who truly understands the entire modern business environment.

Olga has not only been involved in advising established businesses but is now becoming more and more involved in ‘start-ups’.
